Luka Hocevar

Luka’s training experience started at the age of 10 when he began practicing basketball everyday for a high level junior team. At the age of 15 he started lifitng weights to improve his performance on the basketball court and with endless hour in the gym and the court found the right combination that took him to the college and professional level. Because of the great results that he was achieving on the court athletes started asking him for training advice. This led Luka to pursue a calling after his basketball career, training athletes to avoid the mistakes he made and take their performance to the next level – body and mind.

Luka started training athletes in the outdoors because there was no gym to use. At the time using just kettlebells, strongman implemets and bodyweight. The training and atmosphere produced amazing results and Luka, his brother and friend, opened a one of a kind hardcore training gym in Ljubljana Slovenia where everyone that had a passion to become the best now had a place to go.

Luka’s journey continued to the U.S. to take his knowledge and training to the next level studying everything he can get his hands on, attending seminars and training with some of the top coaches in the world  and applying it all in the real world. Over a decade of training  and experience has come together as Hocevar Perfomance – The Next Level of Athletic Performance.

Luka is also a written articles for a number of Slovenian fitness magazines and newspapers and is currently working on an e-book. He created the Hocevar Performance Blog to spread his word on strength and performance training and tell it how its is in a world with too much fluff and not enough "real" training. You can see Luka walk the walk at his blog.

If you are serious about working hard and achieving incredible results, you must first email Luka to train with Hocevar Performance (located in Auburn, WA – training out of Vision Quest Sport and Fitness gym).
