The Beach Workout

I just got back from the beach and a tough Sunday evening training session. I live right next to Coulon Park Beach so I just kind of step outside of the door. It wasn’t sunny and packed with hot chicks, it was more like raining and there was no one there but me. It didn’t bother me that much as I love outdoor training and it is these training sessions where I have time for myself and after I get a”good” training session in, I have a clear mind and it’s when I get some of my best ideas and “clear” thinking. It may not be works for you but it definitely works for me. Here is my training today:

Warm Up (all with 25 lbs) weight vest: warrior lunges, lateral lunges, y-squats, leg swings, toy soldiers, bear crawls, crab walks, aligator crawl

- KB Double Hand Clean/Squat/Throw x 10 reps   (88 lb kettlebell)

- 150 yard sprint    (walk back to starting position)

- KB Swing Throws x 10 reps  (88 lb kettlebell)

-150 yard sprint     (walk back to starting position)

- KB Clean/Throw  x 5 reps/each side  (88 lb kettlebell)

- 150 yard sprint (walk back to starting position)

Break. Repeat for 3 rounds. After that I did 100 chin ups (25 sets x 4 reps) with a 25 lb weighted vest, taking 10-20 second breaks between the sets.

After that I took around 20-30 minutes to stretch, reflect on life and think about what’s next…….. Are you taking time out for yourself just to reflect on yourself and things that are going on in your life?
